Away Team Player and Character Order: 1) Brayan_Job (Dee Jay), 2) Juninho-Ras (Luke), 3) Blaz (Sagat), EXTRA) Shaka (Dhalsim)

2GAME looked impressive in their first and only Team Battle of day one, getting a 40-0 win against KUAISHAU GAMING. Leading off day two they earned a second shutout in as many Team Battles after winning 40-0 against FALCONS.  It also must be noted that 2GAME was the away team here, which allowed FALCONS to counterpick. Brayan_Job’s Dee Jay got a 2-0 win against NL’s Akuma in the first set.  Following that was an incredibly close match between Juninho-Ras’ Luke against Oil King’s Terry that went to the very last round, with Juninho-Ras clinching the 2-1 victory with a clutch Super.  DCQ’s M.Bison took on Blaz’s Sagat in a tense anchor match with Blaz winning 3-1.

MATCH 3: RED ROOSTER (HOME) vs KUAISHOU GAMING (AWAY)

Away Team Player and Character Order: 1) Zhen (M.Bison), 2) Xiao Hai (Mai), 3) VXBao (Mai), EXTRA) Micky (Cammy)

RED ROOSTER gets a 30-0 win against KUAISHOU GAMING by the slimmest of margins after one of the closest sets in the anchor position so far this season.  Starting things off, Zhen’s M.Bison looked dominant against Crossover’s Mai in the first game and the first round of the second game. Crossover, with his back against the wall, surged and won the next two games to get the come-from-behind 2-1 win.  Xiao Hai’s Mai got a clean 2-0 win against Chris Wong’s Luke.  In the anchor position VXBao got a strong win in the first game with his Mai against Craime’s Ryu but Craime won the next two games.  VXBao switched to Ed and won game four to tie the score 2-2.  It would go to the last game, last round with both players having low health when Craime connected with a clutch throw to get the heart-stopping 3-2 finish.

MATCH 4: BANDITS (HOME) vs FALCONS (AWAY)

Away Team Player and Character Order: 1) DCQ (JP), 2) Oil King (Terry), 3) NL (Akuma), EXTRA) Xian (Dee Jay)

Two lessons were learned in this Team Battle between BANDITS and FALCONS.  The first was that MenaRD is human and can be beaten.  The second lesson is that the rest of the BANDITS team can pull through if that happens. Opening up the Team Battle was Caba’s Guile against DCQ’s JP.  Caba won the first game, after which DCQ switched to M.Bison.  The change did not help as Caba won 2-0.  In the next set Booce faced off against Oil King in a Terry mirror-match with Booce winning 2-0.  Things looked bleak for FALCONS going into the anchor match, but never count out NL.  MenaRD’s Blanka took on NL’s Akuma and it was a back-and-forth set that went to the final round of the final game.  NL would win that round to finish 3-2.  In the tiebreaker match Chris T’s Ken was up against Xian’s Dee Jay.  Chris T confidently won the match 2-0 to deliver the Team Battle win for BANDITS.

MATCH 5: FLYQUEST (HOME) vs 2GAME (AWAY)

Away Team Player and Character Order: 1) Shaka (Dhalsim), 2) Brayan_Job (Dee Jay), 3) Blaz (Sagat), EXTRA) Juninho-Ras (Luke)

2GAME had not lost a set up to this point and that streak came to an end against FLYQUEST.  After the first two sets of this Team Battle it looked like 2GAME was cruising toward a third 40-0 shutout, but that was not the case.  Psycho in the anchor match kept the team alive and Riddles came through in the tiebreaker to give FLYQUEST the 30-20 win.  The first two sets broke for 2GAME as Shaka’s Dhalsim beat Nephew’s Juri 2-1 and Brayan_Job’s Dee Jay defeated Punk’s Cammy 2-1.  Psycho with his Kimberly went in against Blaz’s Sagat in the anchor position and it was a thriller, with momentum regularly switching between the two players.  Psycho would win 3-2 to hand 2GAME their first loss in a set and to keep FLYQUEST alive.  In the tiebreaker Riddles’ Terry bested Juninho-Ras’ Luke 2-1 to give FLYQUEST the comeback victory.
