TEAM UYU vs TEAM ALL-IN

Banned Characters: G and Rashid

iDom’s Team ALL-IN came into this week as the STREET FIGHTER LEAGUE’s only undefeated team. We are only approaching the halfway point of the season but they are in a very strong position in the fight for a playoff spot. ALL-IN won this Team Battle with a 3-1 score, with all players looking very much at-ease throughout. The team’s confidence and between match communication will make them tough to beat.

In contrast, Oil King’s UYU has been hit hard with the repeated banning of Rashid and was in search of its first win. This was a very tough loss for the team as it was within their reach to pull it off. Oil King got the team off to a good start with a 2-1 win over 801 Strider. JB was extremely close to winning critical rounds against iDom but just could not close it out. The good news for UYU is that opponents cannot ban Rashid a second time, so the back half of the season should be a stronger showing.

TEAM ALPHA 3 vs DYNAMITE

Banned Characters: G and Cammy

ALPHA 3’s Punk led his team to another victory last week over Team NASR. In an interview after the Team Battle, Punk was very emotional in sharing the motivation behind his thrilling come-from-behind OCV performance and the pressure of doing well for his teammates.

Smug’s Team DYNAMITE took a tough loss to ALL-IN in week five but they came into this week at 2-2. DYNAMITE took a commanding early lead with back-to-back wins by Gamerbee and Smug over CJ Truth and Nephew. Once again it came down to Punk and he delivered, notching another OCV win for the season. Punk had a tough match against MenaRD’s Birdie but after that win it seemed to be smooth sailing. ALPHA 3 won 3-2 and continues to trail ALL-IN by one game at second place.
