BANDITS locked in first place with their victories on day seven and will be the number one seed in the Finals. Only four teams will move on to the Finals, and the other three spots were still hotly contested as we entered the final day of the regular season. KUAISHOU GAMING came into day eight in second place in the standings tied with 2GAME at 240 points. Tied at 200 points was FLYQUEST in fourth place and SHOPIFY REBELLION in fifth. FALCONS with 160 points and RED ROOSTER at 140 points rounded out the standings.
The second round of the season will take place over four days starting on Wednesday, December 3rd and finishing on Saturday, December 6th. The US Finals will take place on Sunday, December 7th. Be sure to cath all of the action live on Capcom Fighters on Twitch and Youtube.

2GAME got a 30-10 victory against RED ROOSTER in the first Team Battle of day eight. RED ROOSTER started strong in first set as Mono’s A.K.I. made a comeback against Shaka’s Dhalsim 2-1. After that match the momentum was all 2GAME, as Brayan_Job’s Dee Jay beat Crossover’s Mai 2-0 and Blaz’s Sagat defeated Chris Wong’s Luke 3-1 in the anchor match. With this win 2GAME secured a spot in the Playoffs, with their seed still to be determined as day eight continued.

FLYQUEST took a tough shutout loss to KUAISHOU GAMING in day seven, but they rebounded in day eight, dishing out a 40-0 shutout against FALCONS. FALCONS put forth a valiant effort in this Team Battle despite the score, with the first two sets being very close. Riddles’ Terry defeated NL’s Akuma in the opening match 2-1 followed by Nephew’s Juri narrowly beating Xian’s Dee Jay 2-1. In the anchor match Punk’s Cammy came out on top over DCQ’s M.Bison 3-1.

With the number one seed secured BANDITS had nothing to lose in this Team Battle against KUAISHOU GAMING, but they did not let their foot off the gas. KUAISHOU GAMING fell behind early but did not let up either, giving BANDITS their first loss of the season 30-20. KUAISHOU GAMING fell behind early as Caba’s Guile beat Zhen’s M.Bison 2-0 and Booce’s Terry dominated Micky’s Mai 2-0. In the anchor match the trend continued in the first game as MenaRD’s Blanka beat Xiao Hai’s Mai in two rounds. From the second game onward Xiao Hai adapted and won three games straight, finishing 3-1. VXBao using Mai took on Chris T’s Ken in the tiebreaker match and won 2-0.

RED ROOSTER was out of contention or the Finals at this point, and they were playing the role of possible spoiler. In their last Team Battle of the regular season, they beat FLYQUEST with a 40-0 shutout. FLYQUEST decided to send in Punk against Chris Wong’s Luke in the first match. Punk used C.Viper instead of his usual Cammy, and Chris Wong won 2-0. Next up Craime’s Ryu went in against Riddles’ Terry and after some clutch comebacks Craime won 2-0. In the anchor match Nephew’s Juri faced Crossover’s Mai. Nephew won the first game, after which Crossover switched to M.Bison. The rest of the set was a slugfest that went to the last round of the last game. In the end Crossover won 3-2, ending the season strong for RED ROOSTER.

This was Shine’s first match of round two and he put on a clinic, winning convincingly 2-0. Shaka’s Dhalsim went in against NuckleDu’s Mai next. Shaka won the first game, prompting NuckleDu to switch to Cammy, but Shaka went on to win 2-0. Blaz with his Sagat in the anchor position defeated Dual Kevin’s Rashid 3-1. 2GAME held second place on the standings after this Team Battle, but third place KUAISHOU GAMING was in striking distance, and they were playing in the day’s final Team Battle.

The final Team Battle of the regular season was FALCONS vs KUAISHOU GAMING. KUAISHOU GAMING had a rough round one but after the break they surged. This last Team Battle was tough and it went all the way to the tiebreaker, but they defeated FALCONS 30-20. The first two sets broke for FALCONS with Oil King’s Terry getting a comeback win over Zhen’s M.Bison 2-1 and Xian’s Dee Jay beating VXBao’s Mai 2-0. Xiao Hai turned things around for KUAISHOU GAMING in the anchor match with his Mai winning 3-1 over NL’s Akuma. The tiebreaker match between Micky’s Mai and DCQ’s M.Bison was back-and-forth. Micky won the first game and DCQ answered back in the second. Micky switched to Cammy and won the final game to finish 2-1.
